Believe me, I was gutted when we came to book our regular "Botanist Bingo" at our local Botanist and was greeted by an email bounced back (3 October) to announce that some of their restaurants had closed. Like, what? No-one saw that coming!

After the devastating news of the floods that damaged the iconic spa and restaurant, I'm pleased that the repairs are progressing quickly. I'm sure you'll join me and be queueing out of the doors of The Oak House as soon as we have a reopening date. Until then, let's keep refreshing our feeds - we miss you! The Kinderton unfortunately posted on their Instagram channels that they may have no chance but to close their doors on Sunday 8 September if a suitable buyer cannot be found. The Lymedale Bar & Dine in Newcastle-under-Lyme had a huge upgrade to their menu with plenty of brand-new tasty dishes that have already been tried and tested by my family.
